[Introduction]
Summer Rush The arrival of summer students and visiting faculty marks the beginning of the busy summer season for the MS Facility. As always, we will do our very best to keep up with the demand. Instrument Status Report All instruments at the disposal of the MS Facility are currently in excellent operating condition. Routine preventive maintenance will be performed as needed during the next several weeks, so only minor disruptions in service are expected. |

MALDI-TOF MOVING? The PerSeptive Biosystems Voyager-DE, which is currently housed in the Keck Center for Transgene Research, may be moving along with the Keck Center to the nearly completed building on the southeast edge of campus. If this instrument is moved, the MS Facility will no longer be able to provide MALDI analyses. Open Access Training on the JEOL GCMate and Micromass Quattro-LC "Open Access" refers to direct, hands-on availability of an instrument to a user. Open Access training is available for GC-MS on the JEOL GCmate and for LC-MS and LC-MS-MS on the Quattro-LC. If you would like to receive training for either instrument, please see Bill Boggess or Nonka Sevova. Mass Spectrometry Request Form available on-line The Mass Spectrometry Request Form is now directly available from this website in the Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF). Adobe Acrobat Reader, available FREE from Adobe, is required to view and print this form. Simply follow the above links for the respective files.
