Submissions from Notre Dame Sources

1. Complete the front page of the "Mass Spectrometry Request Form" (available outside 151 SHCB or as a PDF file). 

  • Select the ionization method for your sample.
  • Select the type of analysis for your sample.
  • MS Facility Home Page.

  • information regarding GCMS.
  • information regarding LCMS.

  • 2. Place the sample in a "Mass Spec Vial" from the chemistry stockroom then attach it to the completed "MS Request Form". 
  • For samples that require special handling, talk to Dr. Boggess or Nonka Sevova.
  • 3. Login your request using the "Sample Submission Program" running on the PC in 151 SHCB. 
  • Record the MS# generated by the "Sample Submission Program"in the MS# blank on the "MS Request Form".
  • 4. Place the completed form in the bin located on the inside of the door to 151 SHCB. 
  • If the door to 151 SHCB is locked, simply leave your form in the bin located on the outside of the door to 151 SHCB.
  • 5. Results can be picked up from the "Completed Analysis" bin located on the outside of the door to 151 SHCB.
