LC-MS Instruments
The JEOL AX505HA can be connected with a Waters 625 LC having a LINEAR UV/VIS detector. Flow-FAB, ESI, and APCI ionization interfaces are available. Flow-FAB and ESI require substantial solvent splitting with optimum flow rates of 3 uL/min and 10 uL/min, respectively. Flow-FAB requires glycerol (1%) in the mobile phase. APCI can accomodate flow rates up to 1 ml/min with no splitting, and requires no additives.

The Quattro LC can be connected to a Waters Alliance LC system having a photodiode array detector. ESI and APCI are available for the interface to the mass spectrometer.

LC/MS Policy
The MS Facility strongly suggests that LC separation conditions be worked out prior to sample submission.
