Denise McOsker holds a B.A. from the State University of New York at Albany, with a dual major in History and Medieval and Renaissance Studies, as well as an M.A. in Secondary Education from Adelphi University in Garden City, New York. She joins the rector cohort after eight years teaching high school social studies, sociology, and religion at John Carroll Catholic High School in Fort Pierce, Florida. Denise served as an adjunct instructor of English and English as a Second Language at Indian River Community College for four years. Prior to her work in the field of education, Denise spent a number of years coordinating laboratory research projects in hospitals. She is an active member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Port St. Lucie, FL, where she serves as the chair of the Liturgy Commission and oversees all liturgy committees.

I am from Alexandria, Virginia, and am a Political Science major with supplementary majors in Spanish and Peace Studies.  I love Notre Dame, and have found my second home in Lyons hall.  I enjoy spending time with friends, ballet, yoga, almost all professional and collegiate sports, eating cookies, traveling, the beach, and speaking Spanish. I am an American Studies and Theology major from Jacksonville, Florida. I love the beach where I grew up, but I also love the snow up in Indiana so I'm hoping to settle somewhere in between after graduation. I love living in Lyons and I can't wait for another amazing year! I enjoy playing sports and staying active, but nothing beats a relaxing movie night with the girls. Stop by my room anytime - not only would I love to talk, but I can always use another reason to procrastinate!!
