Brief Biography:  

Mark Robertson was born in Coldwater, MI, in 1974, and grew up in nearby Bronson, MI.  After graduating at the top his class from Bronson High School in 1992, he attended Tri-State University in Angola, IN, where he  majored in Electrical Engineering.  Mark received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from TSU in 1996, when he was also awarded top honors in his class.  Alas, his days of graduating with top honors were soon to end, for he thereafter enrolled in the Graduate School at the University of Notre Dame, also in the Electrical Engineering Department.  He was awarded the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees, both in Electrical Engineering, in 1998 and 2001; the general topic of his work was image and video restoration.  After an extended summer vacation following graduation ceremonies, Mark started work at the Air Force Research Laboratories in Rome, NY, where he currently lives and works.  Mark has held a number of transient jobs prior to his current position, including painting houses; selling fish at a pet store; soldering circuit boards at Magnavox; working as a waterslide attendant; programming at Intel; teaching classes at Notre Dame; working as a lab technician at Tri-State; working in a factory maintenance department; and working as a teaching assistant in London, UK.  His current interests and hobbies include playing guitar, hiking, playing basketball, reading, listening to music, and, when the opportunity presents itself, kicking Bob's butt in a friendly game of Friday-night foosball.
