My Guitars
And if you were wondering if these are actual photographs of my actual guitars... no! They're not. I took these from the Ibanez web site. So how are you supposed to know whether or not I really own these guitars? I guess you'll just have to accept that on faith...
Some cool guitar links I recently (ok... maybe not so recently any more) saw Joe Satriani play at the State Theatre in Kalamazoo, MI, and it was the most incredible display of guitar prowess I have ever seen! Therefore, no list of "Guitar Links" can be considered complete without having one for him. The patron saint of my favorite guitar, Steve Vai , also has his own web site. One of the coolest guitar-centered songs ever, a remake of Hocus Pocus, was done by Gary Hoey. And of course, my list of favorite guitarists would be incomplete without the inclusion of John Petrucci of Dream Theater, whom I saw on their "Scenes from a Memory" tour in 2000. I saw DT's Milwaukee show, as well as their show at the State Theater in Detroit. Then, to top off an amazing DT season, I saw the final performance of their SFAM tour at the Apollo in London, UK. Highly recommended!
Interested in a little of my playing? You probably aren't, but here's a few mp3's anyway (very low-fi recordings---sorry):
Here are some mp3 excerpts of my brother Steve's music (note that they are not yet finished products---bass and vocals have not been recorded for most of them---and I just made up a couple of the song names, since I cannot remember them right now):
