This individual has a special combination of talents . This includes
the ability to empathize with people in a soothing and helpful
manner, to spin tales of gripping suspense, to find meeting minutes
and reports from ages past, and to juggle more tasks than a person
could fit on the 109,375 linear feet of shelving that will one
day fill the lower level of Hesburgh Library.
A service-oriented individual, this person is well known by
both patrons and staff for lending a sympathetic ear and for
tracking down intricate reference facts. New employees know
this person as a warm community welcome guide. Her friends know
her as a fun-loving and adventurous traveler.
This year, she is being honored for finding 75 new work spaces
for use, for listening to individual needs, and for soothing
movers and movees during the season of relocation. This afternoon
we honor the magician of moving - Marsha Stevenson
