    Marilyn Bierwagen
    Employee Recognition Winner 2001

The next honoree has been described as "one of those hidden people who add a great deal to the department that they work in." (As I look around the room, I can see many who meet this description).

This particularly individual has worked for the Library for more than ten years. She has been praised for her quiet dedication, hard work, and friendly manner. This year, she tackled a major assignment that required both brains and brawn - the move of Special Collection's fragile materials to the second floor and to NITA. Today we honor a staff member: who directed an ever-changing crew of students and staff, who isn't afraid to get her hands dirty, and who even reportedly swallowed some dust in her unflagging service to library - Marilyn Bierwagen
