Engineering Library
Group Recognition Winner 2001
This Group composes one small Department. This Department is well
known for providing excellent service to faculty and students and
for being a "good citizen" (to use a phrase made famous by out newest
AD) within the libraries.
This year, the staff of this branch library had to work before,
during, and around the installation of compact shelving in the midst
of their collection. Although the shelving was welcome, its installation
generated noise, dust, disruption, and the need to move every book
in the libary.
Because of careful planning and the staff commitment to service,
the collection remained open during the entire time of the installation.
Staff cheerfulness and teamwork enabled the library to meet every
patron request and to minimize the impact of this disruption.
For excellence in performance, before during, and after their
mini-renovation, the Libary honors the members of the Engineering
Library.
