Ze' Pipe!!

I started smoking "ze pipe" about the middle of my college career. I have started a modest collection of pipes from different places, so far only three. I have the first pipe I bought, beforehand smoking my roommate's pipe. The first pipe is a standard straight pipe with a large bowl. I purchased this while I was at Penn State for a summer doing a research project.

This is my very first pipe, which is big & thick, with a good-sized bowl.

The second pipe I have is one which was given to me by my mother as a Christmas gift. Up until this point I had thought that she did not believe in the entire idea of me smoking a pipe, but apparently she does not mind terribly much.

This is the second pipe, "curly".

The third pipe is a hand carved one which I purchased in Costa Rica. This is a one piece pipe which is slightly curved and if you look very closely, you can see how part of the neck was cut to make the hole go all the way through. This pipe has never be en smoked, but I think I will eventually smoke it when I have something to celebrate.

This is the third of my pipes, the "Imperial".

My father also used to smoke a pipe, and supposedly had quite a collection of pipes, including some form Thailand, my birthplace. If we ever run across these pipes I will be overjoyed - they are hand-carved from ivory and various other quality materials, quite the collectors items.

Here I am smoking with Patricio (Pat Crawford), my college roommate.

Some more images will be coming soon.
