The new 2012-2013 Leprechaun Legion Board has been selected. Congratulations to all of our new

Spring Sports are winding
up their seasons! #2 Men’s Lacrosse is currently 11-1, 6-0 Big East,
coming off a victory against Syracuse, 8-6. The Irish defeated the Orange for
the first time in program history.
With this win, the Irish have secured a #1 seed for the conference
tournament. Their next match is
against St. John’s on May 3rd, at 4:30pm ET, in the Big
East Tournament. Additionally,
Senior defenseman Kevin Randall is on the ballot for the Lowe’s
Senior Class award. Vote for
him here!
Women’s Lacrosse is
currently 13-3, 6-2 Big East, coming off a victory against Cincinnati, 22-2. This record setting performance
included goals from 13 Irish players.
Earning the #3 seed for the Big East Tournament, they face #2 seed Loyola
(Md.) for their on May 3rd.
Baseball is currently 22-20,
9-9 Big East, after being swept by St. John’s in their last weekend
series. Look for the Irish to
face Butler and Valpo at home on May 1st
and 2nd respectively at 5:35pm. For the May 4-6 weekend, the Irish
head to Villanova for a three game weekend series.
Softball is currently 32-13,
13-3 Big East, sweeping the Friars of Providence in their last weekend
series. These wins extend their
win streak to eleven games.
They look to continue this win streak in their games against
Northern Illinois and Eastern Michigan on May 1st and 2nd
respectively. The Irish then
head to Pittsburgh for a three-game weekend series on May 5-6.
A special shout-out to the
Irish women’s tennis team who claimed their fifth straight Big East
conference title over USF during the Big East Conference Championships! Men’s tennis captured a third
place finish at the Big East Conference Championship after a tough loss to
USF in the semifinals.
Another champion’s
shout out to Freshman Ashley Armstrong of the Irish women’s golf team
who won the Big East Championship.
The Irish women’s team came up one stroke short for the team
championship, taking second in the conference championship to USF.
After the first day of the
Big East Men’s Golf Championship, the Irish men’s team was
leading the tournament. The
Irish look to maintain this lead through May 1st and bring home
the title.
Men’s and
Women’s Track & Field, and Women’s Rowing also are
full-gear into their seasons.
