Electronic grade books

These tools are used to compute grades or post them securely online. Computer calculation is helpful when using complicated formulas involving weighted averages or dropping the lowest grade in a category. A common option is to use a spreadsheet for calculations, but there are also stand-alone grade book programs, including GradeQuick. Concourse has a grade book that can do basic calculations and post grades.

Use in teaching & learning

Providing prompt feedback to students is crucial, and posting grades securely online can be helpful in this area. The Concourse grade book is a popular tool in large classes. Faculty often combine use of Concourse with a spreadsheet for complex calculations.
