A blog
-short for "web log"- is a website where someone posts entries on
an ongoing basis. New items appear first and visitors are usually encouraged to make comments. A blog can also be a place to collect
and share images, web sites, and news
items. In some cases the writing is a stream of
consciousness, but others follow a more formal style. You may wish to consider one of the following providers, although there are other services with similar capabilities.:
Use in teaching & learning
Some faculty post news, announcements, and
related tidbits. In other courses students
keep a journal, do creative writing, or post
