Notre Dame Law School Calendar of Events 14 November 2003, Friday Death Penalty Mitigation Services Speaker Time: 12:00pm - 1:00pm EST Location: Room 101 Cyrus T. Johnston, Mitigation Services of Alabama, will speak at the Notre Dame Law School. Mr. Johnston has been involved in social justice causes all his life and is interested in nonviolence/peace and death penalty/ corrections. He has worked as a mitigation specialist since 1999, which has given him a clear insight into the workings of capital punishment from the perspective of a non-lawyer deeply involved in the system. Mr. Johnston is particularly interested in developing a collaborative network of lawschools and schools of social work, psychology, and mental health who are interested in developing defense related "Team" strategies for capital cases for both training and practice.
