A chronicle of the conditions that existed at the State Prison for the Criminally Insane in Bridgewater, Massachusetts, authenticating the inhuman treatment inmates received from guards, social workers, and psychiatrists. The only American film banned for reasons other than obscenity or national security, it was banned in Massachusetts in 1968.
