Naveed S. Sheikh is on the international relations faculty at Keele University in the United Kingdom. His teaching areas include peace and conflict studies, theoretical approaches to security, and Middle East studies.
During his fellowship at the Kroc Institute, Naveed plans to complete a book-length project entitled “After Islamism? The Post-Islamist Turn in Muslim Politics.” The project will examine the emerging trend of counter-radical “post-Islamism” across the Muslim world and its ramifications for Muslim discourse on conflict and conflict resolution.
Naveed is the author of The New Politics of Islam: Pan-Islamic Foreign Policy in the World of States (Routledge, 2003) and Saudi State, Wahhabi World: The Globalization of Muslim Radicalism (Praeger, 2008).
