Anne Hayner is responsible for developing the international field sites and internship placements for students in the second year of the M.A. program, and developing relationships with and among graduates of the peace studies program. The goal of the alumni network is to foster the professional and personal growth of Kroc graduates and their continued engagement in the mission of the Kroc Institute.

Hayner majored in languages (French, Hebrew, and German) as an undergraduate and received a master's degree in peace and justice studies from the Earlham School of Religion, Richmond, Indiana. She has served on the executive committee of the Consortium on Peace Research, Education, and Development (COPRED) and is active in NAFSA: Association of International Educators. She joined the Kroc Institute staff in 1987.
