Service Life

Commitment to Community service is a defining

characteristic of the university of Notre Dame.

Approximately eighty percent of Notre Dame students are

active in social service projects, and approximately ten

percent of each graduating class spends a year or more in

volunteer service. This tradition of service extends to the

residence halls where significant participation in service

projects is  an integral part of residence hall life. Knott Hall

is committed to organizing and orchestrating service

projects that aid the needy in locations around the globe.

If you have questions, comments, or concerns about an

upcoming service project--of if you have an idea

for a new service project--please contact

service Commissioner Charlie Gardner and Center For Social

Concerns Liaison Kyle Urtel at cgardne1@nd.edu and

kurtel@nd.edu.
