The Annual Presidential Messages can be accessed by President. The years covered are 1890 to 1993, although a handful of the message were not available. To gain a better understanding of this tool, please read the instructions below.

Instructions for using the Presidental Messages Guide:

Table of contents
1. Access to Images
2. Moving from image to image
3. Unavailable documents

1. ACCESS TO IMAGES
Images are accessed by the year the message was given. The file lists the president who gave the address, the year it was given, and, where available, access by the Table of Contents.

2. MOVING FROM IMAGE TO IMAGE

Once you have chosen an image to view, you will note that you have three choices given at the top and bottom of every image. These choices are:
"Next page"
"Previous page"
"View 300 TIFF" (This will automatically open your TIFF viewer when you find the GIF dpi-100 image is not legible in your Web Browser.)
You also can utilize all Web Browser commands using this database.

3. UNAVAILABLE DOCUMENTS

The quality of some the microfilmed images were so poor that they could not be scanned. Further, documents within these sets that were not available for filming are not included in this database either. You may need to refer to microfilm or paper copies of the Provincial Reports at times.
