Kellogg Institute publications increase the impact of faculty research, stimulate debate among scholars, and connect the greater Kellogg community—across Notre Dame and around the world.

The Kellogg Institute’s five-year strategic plan (May 2011) places democracy and human development at the center of its work. Building on geographic strengths in Latin America and increasingly in Africa, the Institute aims to engage in research, teaching, and building bridges on these themes across the globe and particularly in the developing world.

The Tipping Point: Transitions to Democracy in Latin America and the Middle East (January 2012) reports on insights from a symposium organized collaboratively by the Kellogg Institute and the Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies.

The Institute’s peer-reviewed Working Paper Series provides a vehicle for faculty fellows, visiting fellows, and guest scholars to rapidly disseminate their research. The Institute publishes about 10 papers a year. Most are available for download free of charge.

The Institute’s Monograph Series is published in partnership with the University of Notre Dame Press. Most of the more than 50 books in the series focus on Latin America, with particular emphasis on Kellogg’s core expertise in democratization and development.

The Contemporary European Politics and Society Series, also with the University of Notre Dame Press, showcases outstanding social science research related to Europe, with particular focus on unification and integration.

The semiannual Kellogg newsletter highlights Institute activities and is mailed to research institutions, scholars, foundations, and interested individuals worldwide. It introduces new initiatives, faculty, and visiting fellows to the wider community, and reports on conferences, distinguished visitors, and the accomplishments of Institute faculty and students.

The annual report sums up the Institute’s activities for each academic year in brief, as well as providing financial reports.
