Electronic Portfolios

An electronic portfolio or "e-portfolio" documents a learner’s growth over time. It is organized around learning goals and uses computer technology to manage a collection of artifacts, such as papers, recommendations, creative work, and reflective essays. An electronic portfolio can serve multiple purposes, including career development, employment, and assessment. Research shows that well-designed portfolios represent important, contextualized learning that requires complex thinking and expressive skills.
