Catherine Schlegel

Professor Schlegel's interest's include Greek and Latin literature, satiric and comic literary genres, and issues of sex and gender in ancient literature. She is completing a book on the influences of magical incantation and invective on the poetry of Horace's Satires. She is also currently preparing an English translation of Hesiod's Works and Days in collaboration with Professor Henry Weinfield.
