Will, Tim, and Pat juggle before a home game for Dismas House

In the fall of 1996, we decided that we wanted to utilize our juggling skills to do something for the community. Will Bennett had seen flyers about an organization called Dismas House in Michiana. So, we decided to make that our charity and started to juggle before the home football games. Dismas House is a halfway house for ex-prisoners to have a stepping stone back into the community. They are very underfunded and appreciate any help they can get, whether it be monetary donations, or donation of your time. The first year, we juggled at 4 home football games and made about 300 dollars for Dismas. The next fall, we were a little more organized about it and started to set ourselves up next to the Bookstore and the Knights of Columbus steak sandwhich stand. That turned out to be a good move, as we made 1000 dollars for Dismas House. Check out the letter of thanks we got from Dismas House in 1998. The next football season we changed charities and juggled for the Logan Center. If you would like to make a contribution to Dismas House, make checks payable to Dismas House of Michiana and send Them to any of our officers or send them directly to Dismas House at:

In May of 2003, Jason gave a performance/demonstration for the 4-H Clown Club of LaPorte, IN after the invitation of Hugh Tonagel of the Purdue Cooperative Extension Service. Afterwards, they sent us this letter of thanks.

On Feb 17th and 21st of 2005, Jason and Joseph King (Joey) gave a couple of workshops for the Teamwork for Tommorrow after school program. At right is a picture during the workshop on the 21st. In this 30-minute workshop, the children learn about the history of juggling and what today's juggling community is like. The children are prompted with several types of prop manipulation and asked if they consider them juggling. Most jugglers consider toss juggling just one aspect of juggling and at the end hopefully some of the children do too. The workshops were ended with a simple elimination-style game.

If you are interested in having us give a workshop, please read the "Note for the Public" paragraph on the Contact page. Keep in mind that many members of our club are still in the learning phase; so sometimes, often in fact, there will be nobody able to do a public service event.
