Sushi
Night
Last year, Jack Lamb arranged
a "How to Make Sushi Night."
This was a first in the history of the Japan Club. Leigh
this year continued the tradition.
Ths Sushi Night was held at Badin Hall
and the Japanese Community was invited to the event.
Ken, who makes sushi
at Martin's, came to explain the intricacies
of sushi-making.
The students and members of the Japanese Community tried their hand at making
maki-zushi, toro, nigiri,
etc.
In the past, people have asked for copies of the pictures taken at various
club functions.
Click on any small picture
below and a large picture will appear.
If you want that picture, left-click the large
picture and "save

The Millenium Potluck Dinner
Once again Sr. Mary Ann, the rector of Pasquerilla
East , has graciously let us use her hall.
Kevin Hughes, who has worked with the South
Bend Project Futures, was our special guest.
He spoke of his work with the Japanese kaisha in the Michiana area.
His wife, Miyuki, has helped us these past many
years by contacting the families of the various kaisha.
Kevin was recently awarded the key to the City of South Bend by the mayor.
