The staff is comprised of the Notre Dame varsity coaches plus top college and high school coaches as well as outstanding college players from across the country.
Kevin Corrigan:
Entering his eighth year as Notre Dame's head lacrosse coach, Kevin Corrigan has guided Notre Dame to four straight NCAA appearances and five entries in the last six years. Only five other teams Johns Hopkins, Loyola, Maryland, North Carolina and Syracuse have been part of the 12-team NCAA field in each of the last four years.
Notre Dame was the first Midwestern team to win an NCAA tournament game when it defeated Duke 12-10 last season before bowing to Maryland in the NCAA quarterfinals 14-11. Previously an assistant at Virginia for two years,
Corrigan is just the second head coach in the history of varsity lacrosse at Notre Dame. A graduate of the University of Virginia, Corrigan assisted the Cavaliers during both the 1987 and 1988 seasons working under Head Coach Jim 'Ace' Adams. The 1988 season saw Virginia compile a 9-5 record and reach the semifinals of the NCAA Championships.
At Notre Dame, Corrigan's teams have continuously faced a national caliber schedule and in 1994 established a team record 11 wins. A diligent recruiter, Corrigan has guided the Irish to five Great Western Lacrosse League Championships and his teams have a 63-35 record during his tenure at Notre Dame.
Kevin Corrigan is the son of former Notre Dame Athletic Director Gene Corrigan, who is currently President of the NCAA and commissioner of the Atlantic Coast Conference.
