Zoids Shinseiki/Zero, or Zoids New Century/Zero, is an anime (and manga) set in the Zoids universe, on the planet Zi. Planet Zi is where Zoids, enormous machines once used as weapons, originated. In the Shinseiki/Zero era, Zoids are used in competition to test a pilot's skill against other Zoids warriors.
The series follows the story of the Blitz Team, a low-ranking group of Zoid pilots who have the misfortune of running into junk dealer (stealer of Zoids parts) Bit Cloud. In the first episode, Bit is introduced as a trouble-maker, but he saves the Blitz team in a pinch by piloting the never-been-successfully-piloted-before Liger Zero, a rare white liger, and from then on he's the official newbie of the Blitz team. Zoids Shinseiki/Zero is a great series. There's a lot of humor, realistic and understandable characters, awesome animated action, and, best of all, Bit. :D I have a thing for blonde guys, gomen. |
