Course Description

EE-87019: Advanced Topics in Information Theory is a graduate course that covers information from a fundamental perspective using applied probability theory. Specifically, the course focuses on measures of information viewed as random variables, along with applications in source coding, random number generation, channel coding, channel simulation, and so forth. The techniques are quite general, and are among the few available for studying non-stationary or non-ergodic problems.

A more detailed course overview is provided here.
