Course Description
EE-80653: Information Theory is a graduate course that studies information from a fundamental perspective using applied probability theory. The course focuses on measures of information, lossless and lossy source compression, communication over noisy channels, advanced topics such as information spectra and multi-terminal channels, and connections to other fields including mathematics and statistics, physics, and biology.
