To make printing and viewing time efficient and of better quality, compressed documents are provided in two formats: 1) Portable Document Format (PDF) and 2) Postscript (PS).
To read PDF files, you need a compatible reader such as Acrobat.
Ghostview is recommended to view postscript documents.
The sun computers on campus have both viewers available to all users, and most other campus computers have one or the other application installed.
However for personal Macs and PCs Acrobat would probably be a better compatitble viewer.
Acrobat is a free shareware that can be easily downloaded.
They can be downloaded either from ResNet or Shareware.com.
