Our Newer House
We have bought a house! The
address is 320 Parkovash Ave. The first picture looks at it across
Parkovash.  The window on the left opens into the downstairs bedroom,
and the window on the right and also the one around the corner open
into the living room.

An alley runs behind the house.  We have a garage (see below)
which opens onto it, as well as a cement parking pad beside the garage.
The two windows visible in this picture on the house open onto the kitchen.
The sink is in the corner, with two windows above it, one of which is visible
in this picture.  The one toward the center of the house opens onto the
eating area in the kitchen.
We have a one car detached garage opening onto the alley behind the
house. Located directly behind the garage is an idiosyncratic shed built
to order for the previous owner's needs.  She was an old woman who loved
two things in life: gardening and cats.  The front part of this shed was the
cathouse; it had windows on every side, one of which is visible in each of
these three pictures.  The back part of the structure was the potting shed,
accessed from its own door visible in the picture above.
The back left corner of the house, hidden behind the garage in
this pictures, has a dinning room, that may at one point in the house's history
have been a bedroom.  It has two windows, facing back and side.  Upstairs
is a long finished attic bedroom, with windows at each end.  You can just
see one in the picture on the left.

This is the dining room with its three
colors of paint before John, and later
Mommy and Daddy Hall, got a hold
of it.  Rebecca, being pregnant, was
not allowed to paint because of the
fumes, but occupied her time cleaning
and sorting in other parts of the house.
The dining room in its now a
"Cheerful Hue" of yellow is a very
pleasant room.
Viola! Sunday dinner!

 The pantry before John's clever
(if Rebecca may say so) paint job.

A similar situation existed
in the downstairs bedroom.
The combination of pink
walls, gray baseboards,
and tan doors leaves a bit
to be desired. Opposite,
the bedroom as it now
stands, is painted
"Morning Breeze", a
fine shade of blue with
white trim.

Here is another view of the bedroom
featuring a front (North) facing window, John's dresser and the cradle (see Pregnancy page!).

The kitchen has plenty of cupboard space, and a lovely view
out of the corner windows over the sink.  The breakfast nook is in the foreground.

The living room is spacious enough for an upright
Mehlin and Sons grand piano made in 1900 from John's Granddaddy
and Grandmommy Hall.  We enjoy the archway very much.

The bathroom with its interesting decor of gray, black and white.
We think the green and purple of our linens adds considerably.

Upstairs one large room spans the length of the house.
It doubles as guest bedroom and baby room presently, but don't worry.
If you come to visit, we'll move baby (unless of course you'd consider it a treat!).

The other end of the attic room, houses Rebecca's
computer and sewing table.  There is talk of eventually dividing
the attic into two rooms with a closet converted into a half bath.

Finally, a full basement completes the tour including,
laundry facilities, water softener, shelves lining
two walls and a very dry environment as well.
