Pregnancy!

Rebecca is pregnant.  For
what it's worth, she is due
October 25, so we hope
to be parents by thanksgiving.
These are some pictures
from the early stages; we plan
to add to it in future months.
This first was taken on March 2.  At one month, Rebecca shows no visible alteration.
We had an ultra sound done
on March 15.  The black
area in the center is the
gestational sack; Junior is
the grey blob in the middle.
May not look like much now,
but bound for greatness.
1.6 cm long at the longest (though in this view its only 1.5 cm across), with a heartbeat
that looks like that of one of those transparent tropical fish.
At two months, she was
just beginning to show.  This
picture was take April 3.

Three months- realistically, still
nothing.  People are beginning to
ask if I'll ever show! I'm
beginning to wonder myself.

It seems to me that as we walked
on this humid and gusty
afternoon (May 22), a certain
protrusion was evident for the
first time.  That is past three
and a half months, so it
ought to be.
Six months.  Please forgive the delay and neglect
of this post. The fourth and fifth months
were swallowed up by buying and moving
into a new house (See Newer House page).
For consistancy's sake we continue to take l
ying down pictures, but have discovered that
it certainly diminishes the effect.

An upright picture shows much more.
Rebecca is standing next to a
picture of the redwood that she painted.
The yellow walls of the dining room
bring out new dimensions to the background.
