What is LIFE?
This is the first year for the Leadership In Freshmen Engineering program within the JEC. LIFE is intended to develop leadership within the College of Engineering by offering freshmen the opportunity to plan events under the guidance of the JEC. This year the LIFE council will be planning the events for National Engineering Week in the Spring of 2009. After that the council will close out the year planning a charitable event for the South Bend Community. This is a great opportunity for Freshmen to gain valuable experience and bolster their resumes.

what is the jec?
The Joint Engineering Council (JEC) acts as the umbrella organization for all of the professional and honor societies at Notre Dame, and serves to represent the student body in the College of Engineering. Events such as Industry Day in the fall and National Engineering Week in the spring are organized and sponsored by the JEC with assistance from the Society of Women Engineers.
