Monday 22 April: Schedule for visit to European Parliament
8.15-9.00 Breakfast at Hôtel Armorial 9.10 Walk to EP 9.30-9.40 Meet Mr. Francis Cole at EP main entrance (Spinelli building, Rue Wiertz) for security passes and admission. All should bring passports.
10.00 Introduction to European Parliament - Mr. Cole 10.30 Tour of European Parliament premises - Coffee - Mr. Cole
11.00 Talk on multilingualism and enlargement of EU - Mr. Patrick Twidle, Mr. Ken Cleary - Interpretation Directorate
12.00 Meetings with MEPs - to be confirmed 13.00 Lunch - EP canteen
14.00 Free time ( possibility of further meetings with MEPs)
15.00 EP Committee meetings
16.30 Tea break
17.00 Committee meetings (cont)
18.30 Reception, debriefing - EP bar 20.00 Dinner: Students are on their own to dine in a Brussels restaurant of choice. (See note on reimbursement below)

Varia: (Money, travel, and security issues)
1) Dinner. SUNDEF will reimburse up to 20 euros for your dinner Monday night. Save your receipt.
2) If you return late from dinner, please take a taxi back to the hotel, in groups if possible.
3) Please remember to be discreet and inconspicuous while visiting Brussels, or dining in town. Security concerns continue to be an important issue for us all.
4) Students will be completely at liberty for visit to Brussels on Tuesday April 23. Just make sure to check out of the hotel by check-out time, and to be at the train station (Bruxelles midi) and in your reserved seat on the train, on time for the departure at 16h19.
5) Taxis. SUNDEF will reimburse for the following taxi expenses:
a) trip from train station to hotel on arrival Sunday night April 21;
b) return to Hôtel Armorial from restaurant or downtown, on Monday night;
c) trip from train station in Angers to your host family homes on Tuesday evening April 23
6) As agreed, SUNDEF will also reimburse students 25 euros for the trip to Brussels. (This sum represents the price of a one-way train ticket from Paris to Brussels.)
7) The return journey to Angers on Tuesday April 23. Mme Julia will distribute your train tickets on Monday morning at breakfast. It is your responsibility to keep this ticket safe, and to make sure that you are on the train(s) for the return journey. For security reasons, our seats are randomly selected, so we are not necessarily sitting together.
Schedule for the return journey: Tuesday 23 April 16h19: departure from Bruxelles Midi. Arrive Roissy, Aéroport CDG: 17h38 18h25: departure from CDG. Arrive Angers: 20h45
