Welcome to the first electronic issue of the IFRT Report. Born out of necessity (time flies when you're fighting censorship) we hope that this move to electronic publication will result in a more timely, relevant, and cost effective publication for you, the members of the Intellectual Freedom Round Table. This premier e-issue has been prepared using standard HTML 4. No JavaScript, no Java applets, no browser specific tags and no graphics. We've only used nested "tables," "lists," and "font" attributes to get the look and feel. Therefore, though it may not be flashy or have the zip of other publications, it should work with almost every platform and browser -- no matter how old or odd. Please let us know if it doesn't. Another advantage of an e-newsletter is that all of the citations to current information on other web pages are live. Just point and click. Since all electronic publications are in a state of flux, please feel free to send us your suggestions for improvements -- in content, design and presentation. Expect change -- and you won't be disappointed!
