IUPLR Annual Workshop
|---|---|
| The primary goal of the annual IUPLR Workshop is to prepare researchers, junior faculty, and advanced graduate students across the IUPLR network to use forthcoming Census data to answer research questions about ethnicity, ancestry, and race. Two important by-products of workshop participation are the ability to generate statistical profiles for multiple predefined geographical areas and to construct unique geographical areas for analysis.
2008 IUPLR Summer Workshop: July 20-23 The workshop is all expense paid, limited to no more than twenty participants , and will consist of discussions, demonstrations and ‘hands on” applications and analyses of Latino health issues using census data and other related data bases. Researchers, Junior faculty and advanced graduate students are encouraged to apply. Applications will be posted on the IUPLR website. Since workshop reservations will be addressed and processed on a first come first serve basis so we recommend that any and all who are interested in participating in the workshop complete an application as soon as possible. Application deadline is June 20. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Maria Elena Bessignano, IUPLR Assistant Program Manager at 574-631-3481
