Get Involved with Iron Sharpens Iron

There are a lot of great ways to get involved with ISI. In addition to our weekly worship meetings on Thursday nights at 10:00pm in 329 Coleman-Morse Center, we have a variety of bible studies and other groups that meet and plan events throughout the week. Learn more about the groups that are a part of ISI and follow through with the contact person if you would like to learn more or get involved.

Leadership Teams

Leadership Teams exist to help in planning regular events for the ISI community and to provide focused efforts on particular aspects of the overall ministry’s goals.

Leadership Team

The leadership team is responsible for many of the behind the scenes work that keeps ISI up and running.

Prayer Team

Prayer Team is responsible for fostering an attitude of prayer in ISI. To do so, Prayer Team regularly meets to pray for the ministry, in addition to planning a number of prayer services and other prayer-oriented events throughout the semester.

Service Team

Service Team is responsible for fostering an attitude of service in ISI. In light of this, the team plans regular service events in which the ISI community can serve the broader South Bend community together.

Worship Team

Worship Team is responsible for leading worship every week at ISI, as well as organizing worship nights throughout the semester. Be sure to contact them if you would like to either sing or play an instrument with them!

Men’s & Women’s Fellowship Groups

In addition to weekly events, ISI’s gender-specific fellowship groups allow for greater community between members of ISI, community not possible with Thursday nights alone. Many students find that it is in these groups that their deepest friendships at Notre Dame are grown.

Men of God (MOG)

Men of God is a men’s fellowship group within ISI. MOG has a weekly bible study in addition to weekly lunch (Fridays, 12:45pm, NDH) and other unofficial gatherings. The group also goes on a yearly camping trip, MOG Camping, to the Warren dunes and offers accountability groups beginning Fall semester.

Women of God (WOG)

Women of God is a women’s fellowship group within ISI. WOG has a weekly bible study in addition to a weekly lunch (Fridays, 12:00pm, NDH) and coffee/hang out time (Mondays, 7:30pm, LaFortune Starbucks). The girls also have a yearly retreat called WOG Adventura.

FWOG

Freshmen Women of God (FWOG) is a small fellowship group specifically for freshman girls led by sophomore girls in WOG. If you are a freshman or are going to be a freshman next year, contact the WOG leader for more details on meeting times and how to get involved.
