Staying Involved with Your Host Community

It is important to continue the relationships that you developed abroad and keep informed about your host country. A few ways to keep in touch with the country you left are listed below:

• Write to the friends you made and/or your host family overseas.
• Read world newspapers at the library or on-line.
• Look for foreign films on campus, rent one at a local video store or get one free at your public library.
• Find ingredients for foreign dishes at the farmer’s market or an international grocery store.
