Catholicism is an important part of Mexican life. Students will find ample opportunity to attend Mass in parishes throughout the city of Monterrey. Holy Cross priests staff one of these local parishes. Transportation and Travel Roundtrip airfare from a major airport near your hometown will be covered by program costs. Two trips are organized and paid for by the program. In the fall, students travel to the Yucutan at the end of the semester. In the spring, students travel to Oaxaca during Holy Week. A number of trips are also organized by the host institution for a reasonable fee. Housing and Meals Students may choose to live in campus dorms or with families in Monterrey, in which case students are assigned, either individually or with a roommate, to homes selected by the ITESM International Programs office. Students living with families take most of their meals at home. There are also three cafeterias and two small snack bars on campus, plus a variety of restaurants catering to student budgets within walking distance of the campus. Health Care A 24-hour infirmary is available on campus for emergencies and the best-equipped hospitals in northeastern Mexico are located in Monterrey. ITESM requires that each student have medical insurance, which is valid during their stay in Mexico. If students do not provide proof of valid insurance, they will be charged for insurance coverage by the TEC. Other
