Accommodation:  Following the model of the Paris INCS conference in 2000, we are not arranging for a main conference hotel.  London, like Paris, offers so many hotel options that we expect conference participants will prefer to make their own arrangements.  However, we would like to encourage participants to book rooms at a nearby, reasonably priced hotel (Travel Inn, London County Hall), and we are also providing a list of recommended hotels at various price levels and locations. The rule of thumb is to book early, as London hotels fill up quickly in the summer.  Right now, availability is good nearly everywhere for summer bookings.  In cases of special need, we will do our best to offer assistance in locating appropriate accommodation.

 The Travel Inn is situated directly across the Thames from Trafalgar Square in the magnificent County Hall building, adjacent to the London Eye and within 15 minutes walking distance of the conference site.  Room rates are approximately £82.95 (GBP), $130 (USD) per night. 

  -You will find below a listing of hotels arranged according to different price ranges (prices are for single rooms, per night).  All of the hotels listed below are within reasonably close proximity of the conference site.  From Bayswater, you can take a leisurely walk of about 30-40 minutes through Hyde Park to the conference site.  From Bloomsbury, you can walk through Covent Garden to the conference site in 20-30 minutes.  Underground connections to Trafalgar Square are within a few minutes walk of Bloomsbury and Bayswater hotels.  For those booking by telephone from outside the UK, you should dial your international code (011 from the US), the UK country code (44), and then drop the first 0 in the numbers listed below.
