The University of Notre Dame is located in South Bend, Indiana. It is approximately 90 miles east of Chicago and 180 miles north of Indianapolis. Several travel options are below:
BY AIR: South Bend has a regional airport (SBN) and can be reached from nearly any U.S. city with no more than one stop. From here, you can take a taxi to Notre Dame's campus, about a 15 minute ride.
If you fly into Chicago, either Midway or O'Hare, you can take a bus (United Limo) directly to the Notre Dame campus. Click here to go to the United Limo website for schedules and rates.
BY TRAIN: The South Shore train (click here) runs from numerous stops in Chicago into the South Bend airport. From there you will need to take a taxi onto campus.
BY CAR: If you are traveling from the east, west, or north, the easiest way to campus is via I-80/I-90 (the Indiana Toll Road). Take exit 77 (South Bend/Notre Dame exit). Turn right onto Dixie Highway. At the fourth light, turn left on Angela Blvd, which runs along the south side of campus. At the first light, turn left on Notre Dame Avenue to enter campus.
From the south, take U.S. 31 into South Bend, and follow Michigan Avenue north through town. Turn right on Angela Road, which will follow the southern edge of the Notre Dame campus. Turn left on Notre Dame Avenue.
ON CAMPUS: A campus map is here. Buildings relevant to the conference include McKenna Hall (#1079), which is on the east side of Notre Dame Avenue, the Morris Inn (#1049), on the west side of Notre Dame Avenue, and Knott Hall (#1098). Knott Hall is north of the library, which is due north of the stadium.
