Overview of Research Projects (detailed descriptions will come soon …)

III-V nitride based materials and devices (graduate student openings currently available)

-       AlN/GaN all binary HEMTs.

Devices are designed, fabricated and tested for millimeter wave sources. (ND nanofabrication facility)

The devices are grown by molecular beam epitaxy (MBE lab) at University of Notre Dame.

-       AlGaAs/GaAs/GaN HBTs by direct wafer bonding.

-       THz sources

-       Biochemical sensors

-       UV detectors

Graphene (graduate student openings currently available)

-       Lateral bandgap engineering

-       Optical properties and optoelectronic devices

Nanowire-based devices

Photodetectors

-       Bacteria detection systems

Nanofabrication and characterization

-       Manipulation and positioning of nanowires and nanotubes toward nano devices/systems
