Education:   Ph.D   University of California, Santa Barbara /M.S. Lehigh University / B.S Peking University

Honors:      AFOSR Young Investigator Award, National Science Foundation CAREER Award.

 

Research: Design, fabrication and characterization of semiconductors (thin films and nanowires), devices, and nanostructures, wafer bonding, graphene, wide bandgap III-nitride semiconductors, tunneling FETs.

9/2009:       Triquint-ND-UIUC team has won the multimillion DARPA NEXT project!

7/2009:       David passed his PhD candidacy exam.  Congrats!

5/2009:       We are awarded NSF grant to develop InGaN nanowire optoelectronic devices!

5/2009:       Rachel has got her Master degree.  Congrats!

4/2009:       Chuanxin successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis.  Congrats!  Dr. Lian!

3/2009:       We are awarded ONR grant to develop negative differential resistance devices in GaN!

3/2009:       We are awarded AFOSR grant to develop AlN/GaN stacked quantum wire (SQWire) FETs!

1/2009:       Prof. Xing receives NSF CAREER Award (ND-news).  Congrats!
