Gaussian 03 (Version B04) is available on the SGI & Sun architectures

Matlab 6.5 is now the default version of Matlab in the HPCC.

Maple 9 is now the default version of Maple in the HPCC.

Sun ONE Studio 7 compilers are now the default version of Sun compilers
in the HPCC.

Other News:

On July 4th, 2002, the IP numbers of the HPCC changed from the 129.74.38 subnet to the 129.74.5 subnet. If you are having problems connecting to an interactive HPCC machine (perseus, sun1, stats), please check the address of the machine.

On July 4th,2002, the HPCC batch system was upgraded to Sun Grid Engine (SGE) Enterprise Edition 5.3. Most commands are exactly the same; however, please note that with the new upgraded batch system the environment variable $GRD_STDOUT_PATH has now become $SGE_STDOUT_PATH. Users may have been using the fsync command and will need to modify their batch script.
