CTC Adds 128-Processor Dell PowerEdge Windows 2000 Cluster

With the help of AC3 members, CTC installs 64 dual-processor Pentium
III server to expand Windows 2000 cluster complex to 470 processors.
CTC is now operating 8, 32, 48, 128, and 256 processor systems for its
clients in addition to Windows 2000 server farms for web-based
computing services.

Training News

Beginning Sept 25, CTC will hold a Virtual Workshop titled
"Introduction to Cluster Computing on CTC's Velocity Complex". The
workshop will include an overview of resources, access methods,
software, using the batch system, compiling codes for Velocity,
cygwin, migration issues and a case study, and data management.  More

A variety of in-house workshops and Virtual Workshops are planned for
the coming year. Topics include system updates, software, migration
issues, compilers, MPI, optimization, performance, and tools. A
