Scott Henkel, University Writing Program, Notre Dame

In March 2006, Scott presented a paper titled "The Leaves of Grassroots Politics: Whitman, Carlyle, and Democratization” at the Globalization and Resistance Conference,
Purdue University. Scott also recently published an article titled "Working and Learning Conditions after the National Labor Relations Board's Brown University Decision" in Workplace:  A Journal for Academic Labor (June 2005). In February 2005, he was heard on WVPE public radio, discussing the controversy of privatizing social security. Scott is also the faculty advisor for Amnesty International - Notre Dame and has been active in CLAP, a student-led organization that is working to improve the wages and working conditions of Notre Dame employees.
