APPLICANTS FOR 2010-2011

For many years, recent college graduates have been volunteering in overseas placements with Holy Cross to live and work among the poor; learn about the international mission and spirituality of Holy Cross; and assist in the service we do abroad with Holy Cross religious. Our program provides a context for those selected to grow in their own life of faith primarily through teaching in our primary or secondary schools and other service opportunities such as parish ministry and health care. Three pillars give structure to the program: Prayer, Mission, and Community. We will be selecting 2-3 people for Chile and 3-5 for Uganda next year.

If interested in applying for either postgraduate program in Chile or Uganda, we ask you to complete a one page statement of intent and mail it back to hcmc@nd.edu with the following information by December 6:
1. Family, faith, and education background.
2. Service experience, especially any experience of living and/or service in other cultures. What gifts do you have for community and service?
3. Motivation and hopes in making application to the OLM program. Include thoughts on “Why Africa/Why Chile?” and “Why with Holy Cross?
