The mission of Holy Cross in Haiti began in 1944 with the arrival of Canadian Holy Cross priests who soon founded College de Nore-Dame-du-Perpetuel-Secours in Cap-Haitien. Recently elevated to the full status of a province in the congregation, the Holy Cross commitment in Haiti is served by 55 men religious, all but three of whom are Haitian, and 37 Sisters of Holy Cross. Ministries include six parishes and four schools in addition to adult education and development work.
