Hawai`i
is probably best known for it's sunny days, beautiful beaches,
and Hula. Hula is a mainstay in the Hawaiian culture. It was used
to pass on stories and legends from generation to generation and
articulate morals and values in ways that were understandable
by everyone. Hula comes in two flavors: kahiko and `auana. Kahiko
is a style of dance which is usually complemented by a chant.
`Auana stylings are often free flowing and are accompanied by
a variety of instruments.
