Graduate Student Concerns

The GSU Council exists so that graduate student concerns can be addressed. The GSU has members that regularly attend meetings of various university committees such as the Faculty Senate or the Graduate Council. This means we have the capability of making the graduate student voice be heard! However, we cannot represent graduate students well, unless we know what graduate students are thinking. What do you like about Notre Dame? What are your concerns? What could be improved? Post your comments here and let your voice be heard!

Free Flu Vaccinations for Children of Graduate Students

12/03/2008 - 3:00pm
12/03/2008 - 6:00pm

The Graduate School has allocated funds to provide free flu vaccinations to the children of graduate students. The St. Joseph County Health Department will administer the vaccinations from 3-6pm on Wednesday, December 3, in the community room at University Village. Children aged three and older without asthma symptoms can receive an oral flu vaccination mist that protects for a full year instead of the traditional flu shot. We need to give the St. Joseph County Health Department an approximate number of vaccinations needed, so please email Pat Flavin (pflavin@nd.edu) by Friday, November 28 if you plan to bring your child to get vaccinated.

Become a Graduate Sustainability Coordinator...

Attention Graduate Students!

If you are concerned about the environment and want to do more than unplug your cell phone charger, become a Graduate Sustainability Coordinator! The purpose of each coordinator will be to help spread the campus sustainability efforts throughout his or her department on campus, as well as to share energy (and money) savings ideas that fellow grad students can use at home.

The commitment for being a Coordinator is a few hours a month. The next meeting of the Graduate Sustainability Coordinators will be held on Tuesday, December 2nd at 4:00pm in 258 Fitzpatrick - if you are interested in joining this effort, email Rachel Novick, the Outreach Coordinator at the Office of Sustainability, at novick.2@nd.edu.
