1D Poisson is a program for calculating energy band diagrams for semiconductor structures. It is a FreeWare
program that I've written which solves the one-dimensional Poisson and Schrodinger equations self-consistently.
The program is quite user friendly, and runs on a Macintosh or PC. These are new versions of the program (4/2007) that have a number of nice new features. Click on one of the links below to download an archive containing a version of the program for Macs runing OS X. A version that runs in Classic mode under OS X is also available if you send email. The PC version for Windows has all the same features and uses the same files as the Mac version. Both currently run as terminal applications. A GUI is hopefully coming this summer!
